The Makita blower is a small compact blower, fit for purpose. When I say fit for purpose I mean it works great at blowing away sawdust and other shop debris, but it's not a yard blower. It works quite well in blowing out the recesses in my table saw and the flexible nozzle can get into tight areas. I have even used it to speed up the lighting of charcoal for the grill. I haven't timed the run time of a full battery, but the charge lasts long enough to get through the day with occasional use. I sometimes would like a little more power, but then I would probably have a larger heaver unit. One of the big advantages is it uses the same 18 volt Lithium battery that all of my other Makita cordless tools use. I would recommend this tool.

When the blower first arrived, I thought it was a joke. It came in a box not much bigger than a shoebox. But attach the soft nozzle and battery and you are ready. The power was a surprise. The small size means it is portable and manueverable. The power is adequate to clean the sidwalk and driveway. No reduction of power with the 1.5 ah battery but obviously longer run time with the 3.0 ah battery. I have had my blower 1 year with no regrets. I am buying a second to give to a relative as a gift. Looking back, I am glad my cheap Ryobi cordless gave up in 8 months.

I never write reviews. But I just had to take time to tell everyone what a great value this little tool is!
When I received the package, I thought it had to be missing something because the package was so small. Once I had my doubts about its performance before purchasing and now that I saw how small it really was, my expectations were even lower. I slapped in a fully charged battery and WHOA! This thing is awesome for its size!!!
It is perfect for clearing off the garage floor, driveway and sidewalk. This thing is so light, even my wife will be able to handle it with ease. It won't replace my Toro electric leaf blower for heavy leaf blowing tasks, but I will get a lot more use with the Makita cordless! Thanks Makita and Amazon!!!!

Great little gadget for blowing leaves off your property. It is smaller than I expected but no big deal. Good blower speed and I like the variable speed trigger. However, I recommend having 2 batteries ready as it drains them pretty fast, and runs down before the job is done.

we live in the woods and have tons of leaves. this lightweight little blower is perfect for decks and around the pool. compared to our noisy gas blower, you can use it without waking up the neighborhood. my gardener was shocked how well it did for it's size. It wasn't, deigned to push tons of damp leaves around the grass but it is excellent on hard surfaces.O, it goes and goes without being recharged! we have had three competitors of this small blower and this one is the best !
